“I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.”
I love that quote.
It’s bitterly sweet.
A girl whose voice was silenced in life, used her oppression to find an audience in her death.
It’s beautifully, tragically cyclical.
She dreamt of being a journalist. We have that in common.
Journalism is my main game.
It’s my ambition. It’s my first love.
Like Anne, it’s what brings me the greatest joy in hard times.
I graduated from the University of Sydney with my Bachelor of Arts/Communications in Media and Material Culture in 2015-2016.
I hope to marry my photographic practice with my writing and my broadcast experience.
I hope to have the opportunity Anne Frank was never given.
